Ranges Comparison

The Ranges Comparison section lets you compare OOP and IP player ranges, showing combos, EV, EQ, EQR, and strategy distribution for each action

1. Introduction

Understanding how to play your range is one thing—understanding how your opponent plays theirs is another. The Ranges Comparison section allows you to do exactly that. Here, you can compare the current ranges of both the OOP and IP players, along with each player's combos, EV, EQ, EQR, and strategy distribution.

2. How to Open the Ranges Comparison Tab

Just above the Hand Matrix, there is a Ranges button. Clicking it will open the Ranges Comparison tab.

3. Hand Matrices

Similar to the main Hand Matrix, the Ranges Comparison section has two hand matrices:

  • Left: OOP player
  • Right: IP player

These matrices can display all the same data as the main Hand Matrix. Use the dropdown menu in the top left of each matrix to select what to display. By default, it is set to Range.

These matrices are a powerful way to see how both players’ ranges evolve as actions are taken.

  • The displayed range corresponds to the last action played by that player.
  • For example, if the OOP player checks, the matrix will show their checking range.

4. Metrics Table

In the middle, you will find a table showing metrics for both players, including:

  • Combos: Number of combos in the player’s range, weighted by action frequency
  • EV: Expected value of the player’s range
  • EQ: Equity of the player’s range
  • EQR: Equity realization of the player’s range

5. Actions

Below the metrics table, you will see the actions available to each player, listed vertically:

  • These actions reflect the current options for the selected player if you are on their player action node
  • If you are viewing the other player’s node, it shows the last actions that player could take
